P-384 TP53 protein expression in colorectal cancer

چکیده
In human colorectal cancer (CRC), TP53 is one of the most important drives genes; it a key regulator apoptosis. The dysfunction gene critical event in development CRC this context, we aimed to evaluate expression Tp53 patients and establish correlation between overexpression p53 with clinical pathological features Colorectal Carcinoma (CRC). This study enrolled 32 carcinoma. was investigated by immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin fixed paraffin embedded sections using NCL-P53 (NCL-L-p53-DO7, Novocastra) monoclonal antibody. nuclear staining scored according percentage stained tumor cells. cutoff set at 30%. With reference score, classified into two categories: negative (= 30%). Among samples over expressed 53.1 % (17/32) samples. 41.2% left colon, 35.3% right colon 23.5% rectum. There no significant positivity gender (p = 0.64), age (< 50 vs. ≥ year; p 0.77), site (right rectum; 0.7), stade (p=0.19) RAS mutation status (p=0.58). study, protein overexpressed CRC. knowledge that immunohistochemical detection may indicate theTP53 suppressor gene, finding suggests play role carcinogenesis process.

background colorectal cancer (crc) is the second most common malignancy in the world. however, its mortality rate can be reduced if diagnosed early. p33 ing1b is a tumor suppressor protein, which plays a role in growth control and apoptosis. suppression of p33 ing1b is associated with the loss of cellular growth control. however, p33 ing1b expression in crc and its correlations with clinicopat...
متن کاملTP53 mutation in colorectal cancer.
Approximately half of all colorectal cancers show p53 (TP53) gene mutations, with higher frequencies observed in distal colon and rectal tumors and lower frequencies in proximal tumors and those with the microsatellite instability or methylator phenotypes. Alterations to this gene appear to have little or no prognostic value for colorectal cancer patients treated by surgery alone, but are assoc...

Objective(s) P53 is an important tumor suppressor, which is mutated in later stages of many cancers and leads to resistance to chemotherapy. The aim of this study was to reveal mutations of TP53 in colorectal cancer in Kerman province. Materials and Methods A total of Forty-three colon cancer specimens as paraffin block or fresh tissues, which passed stage IIIA, were selected. Three exons 5,...
